Activités / CV

David Riassetto obtained a Master of Science degree in physics and energy with honors in 2005 at University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble and a PhD at Grenoble-INP in 2009. Between 2009 and 2011 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Utah. In 2011, he got an associate professor position at Grenoble-INP/PHELMA and joined the LMGP as a member of the SPCS team, working in the Wet Chemistry and Surface Functionalization group.

Research interests

DR research area is centered on prospective studies in the field of nanomaterials synthesis using wet chemistry methods: sol-gel chemistry, photochemistry and hydro-/solvo-thermal methods. As examples, thin films are made by sol-gel chemistry, while nanoparticles are synthesized using hydro-/solvo-thermal or photochemical methods. Both approaches are combined to make functionalized sol-gel thin films in order to increase their intrinsic properties (e.g. photocatalytic activity) or to induce new kind of properties (e.g. SERS activity).
