Teaching activities

Master Level:
Nanomaterials for energy
2nd Generation Photovoltaics

Research activities

My research focuses on the use and development of cheap and scalable chemical synthetic approaches for the fabrication of novel functional materials for electronic and optoelectronic applications.

Thus the techniques I use are mainly electrochemistry, low temperature hydrothermal reactions, MOCVD (MetalOrganic Chemical Vapour Deposition) and a novel atmospheric atomic layer deposition approach which is currently being developed in the lab.

In terms of materials, I focus on the study of (novel) oxides based on earth abundant elements, mainly Cu, and hybrid nanomaterials. The main targeted applications are energy: photovoltaics, lithium batteries, transparent conducting materials; and electronics: TFTs, oxide-based transparent electronics.
