Mictamict Alloys Students : A. Hodroj Objectives  Mictamict ternary alloys are quasibinary systems of two immiscible oxides or nitrides. The interest of these alloys is that the physical properties of the mixtures may be completely different from of the ones observed for the individual compounds. Main results : Thin films in different systems (Ti-Si- O, Ru-Si-O etc.) were obtained by aerosol CVD under atmospheric pressure in several compositions. As deposited films are either amorphous or contain nanograins in an amorphous matrix. We have shown that there exists deposition activation in between different precursors, especially for the Ti-Si-O system. Resistivity measurements results obtained for films with different compositions in the Ru-Si-O system can be explained with a parallel resistor model with metallic grains in a pseudo-semiconducting matrix.
