New Functional Materials for Eco-Efficient Lighting ---- PhD Student & Engineer in Materials Science

I am working on the synthesis and charaterisation of new oxide materials, for eco-efficient white LEDs.
Particularly, I fabricate UV-LEDs based on ZnO nanowires, grown by chemical deposition, in the group of Vincent Consonni and Estelle Appert.
This UV-LED is then coupled with rare-earth-free aluminium borate phosphors, that I devellope at Institut Néel, in the group of Mathieu Salaun and Alain Ibanez.
This white emiting LED, free of critical element such as Indium and rare earth, is a first step toward sustainable lighting devices.

 I am also strongly involved in a transdisciplinary project about sustainable buildings and cities, Eco-SESA, where I bring a material scientist point of view to a broad community of researchers and expert in economics, architecture, sociology, and electrical engineering.
