Research developement in materials for energy conversion/production at Okayama University
The Research Center of New Functional Materials for Energy Production, Storage and Transport (RCNFM), Okayama University directs to study new functional materials and devices which can contribute to form future sustainable society. The present studies of RCNFM relate mainly to making new inorganic / organic superconductors, high-performance organic transistors and solar cells, theoretical calculations for energy storage materials. The RCNFM also contributes to a clarification of physical properties of new superconductors based on PES, NMR and high-pressure / low-temperature experiments.
Our group in RCNFM works on syntheses of new superconductors and developments of carbon based transistors (organic and graphene transistors). The organic hydrocarbon superconductors (metal intercalated hydrocarbons) and new metal intercalated FeSeTe materials were discovered by our group. In this lecture, I will give a talk on introduction of RCNFM and our group’s recent topics.
