This two-day event brought over 60 participants together, among European scientists from academic research and R&D, dealing with Transparent Conductive Materials.

Website and programme of the conference

The NanoTCMs workshop was organised on the Minatec campus by the LMGP research team, Materials for Energy, in a unique environment where nanotechnologies and architectural materials applied to energy or electronic fields are widely studied.

The purpose of this event was to bring together a wide international community working on transparent conductive materials (TCM), including many young scientists involved in this field of research.

During the workshop, the state-of-the-art was presented regarding the emerging and multidisciplinary theme of TCM, which leads to various technological spin-offs (flat screens, tactile screens, transparent electrodes for photovoltaic cells of 2nd and 3rd generation, etc.).

Furthermore, invited seminars, oral communications and poster sessions enabled participants to engage in many fruitful discussions about physical properties and the future of transparent conductive materials.

Main topics of the workshop

  • Needs and issues with TCM
  • Modelling of TCMs properties
  • Transparent conducting oxides (ITO, FTO, AZO)
  • Metallic nanowires
  • Carbon nanotubes and graphene
  • TCMs on flexible substrate
