Grenoble Institut of Technology in MINATEC

Organisation
In may 2006, LMGP moved to the MINATEC site, together with the engineering High School on Physics , Electronics & Materials (PHELMA) of the Grenoble Institut of Technology.
Research at LMGP is dedicated to material sciences and is concentrated on studies related to intrinsic properties of materials, their structure and the processing of crystals or thin films for applications in the fields of Information Technologies, Energy or Health.
The laboratory is composed of 40 staff members, 50 PhDs or Post-docs and is structured in 4 research groups :
- MSTIC : Materials for science and technology in Information and Telecommunication
- ME : materials for Energy
- SPCS : synthesis and physical chemistry of solids
- IMBM : interface materials - biological matter
Scientific environement
The research activities of LMGP are inserted in dense networks at the local, national and international scene to tackle efficiently the industrial and societal challenges.
Pluridisciplinarity at LMGP is a key concept helping to address the new challenges in science.
