Biomimetic films : Bioactivecoatings

Developement of biomimetic films, Bioactivecoatings Project
In the frame of the BIOACTIVECOATINGS project, the researchers of Catherine Picart's team have established an automated process to deposit layer-by-layer in multiple well plates. These biomimetic films are made of natural polymers, which enable them to trap bioactive molecules.

Our team has been granted the label “Fondation Recherche Medicale (FRM) Team”. We use self-assembled films of controlled rigidity and trapping different bone morphogenetic proteins to understand how cells form tissues in vitro, from their initial adhesion to their differentiation in bone cells.
